The short version: we're a directory, we don't do the work, and grant information here is general guidance, not advice.
What HomeAdapt.ie is
HomeAdapt.ie is an independent directory of businesses and occupational therapists who carry out home adaptations in Ireland, with general information about the housing adaptation grants. We are not a contractor, and we are not part of any local authority, the HSE or any government body.
Grant information
Grant amounts, income limits and rules are summarised from gov.ie and Citizens Information for general information only. They change, and councils apply them differently. Nothing on this site is legal, financial, medical or planning advice. Always confirm current requirements with your own local authority before applying or starting work.
Listings
Listings are compiled from each business's own website and public lists, or supplied by the business. They are not endorsements, and we don't vet the quality of work, insurance or tax compliance. Check credentials, insurance and tax clearance yourself before hiring anyone. Any contract for work is between you and the business you choose.
Featured placements are marked. On county pages, firms based in the county are shown first, then firms covering it from elsewhere, then nationwide firms. More on how listings are ordered.
Quote requests
If you send a quote request, we pass it only to the types of provider you tick, covering your county. Providers contact you directly and are responsible for their own quotes and work. See our privacy policy for how we handle your details.
For listed businesses
Listings are free until 31 January 2027. Nothing is charged automatically: we'll contact you before any paid option starts, and you can ask us to remove your listing at any time. You confirm that details you send us are accurate and that you're entitled to share any photos you supply.
Our liability
We take care to keep the site accurate, but we can't guarantee that every detail is complete or current. To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for losses arising from reliance on the site or from work carried out by a listed business. Nothing here limits rights you have as a consumer under Irish law.
Contact and reporting
To report a listing or ask a question, email info@homeadapt.ie. We remove any business that asks.
